How To Cancel Your FAST Card Application

Question: I would like to cancel my FAST card application as soon as possible I am not able to take off work to go for in interview because the sites where you hold interviews are too far away. I do not have the vacation or sick time to take off work for an interview. How do I go about canceling?

Answer: If your FAST card application is ‘Pending Review’ or ‘Conditionally Approved’, you cannot cancel your application and you will not receive a refund. You have 365 days to schedule and attend an interview at an enrollment center of your choice. You can reschedule your interview as many times as you wish within this 365-day period. If you fail to attend an interview within this period, your application will be canceled automatically.

You can cancel your application directly with the government if you have not paid the government fee ($100). Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to and click ‘Returning GE/NEXUS/SENTRI/FAST Member / Applicants LOGIN’ in the top right corner.
  2. You will be redirected to
  3. Click ‘Sign In’
  4. Enter the email address and password that you used to set up your account
  5. Follow the instructions and when complete, you will be returned to the Trusted Traveler Program website where you can click the button ‘Cancel Application Request’.

How To Cancel FAST Card With a Third-Party Supplier

If you have applied for FAST card using a third-party service like Easy Border Cards, you can cancel your application and receive a refund if your application has not been submitted to the government.

Follow the steps below to cancel your application with a third-party provider:

  1. Search your inbox to find the PayPal receipt for your payment to the third-party provider OR you can check your PayPal account directly;
  2. When you have the name of your third-party provider, search your email box for any messages you may have received from them;
  3. If you have received an ‘Application Submitted’ email, you will not be able to cancel your application or receive a refund because your application is not ‘Pending Review’. You should follow the instructions to take ownership of your account.
  4. If you have received a request for more information, you should still be able to cancel your FAST card application. Email the company with a request to refund.

Note: It is vital that you contact the correct company i.e. the one that you applied for FAST card with; you are unlikely to receive any response if you contact the wrong company.
