Question: Must I provide fingerprint identification at my NEXUS card interview?
Answer: Your fingerprints will be scanned at your Canada NEXUS interview. This is a non-invasive process and is used to verify your identity, so that a traveler’s fingerprints could serve as both a boarding pass and identity document. Fingerprint technology matches your fingerprints to those that were provided to the NEXUS enrollment center when you enrolled in the Canada NEXUS program.
Note: If you want to use your NEXUS card for air travel, you need to choose a NEXUS card enrollment center, which does iris scanning.
